Korean engineering corporation Yooshin has signed a contract for the design and supervision of a project to construct the first cable-stayed bridge in the Cambodia capital, Phnom Penh.

The contract is between Yooshin and the Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport. The project is funded by a US$245.9 million loan from the government of the Republic of Korea.
The bridge will have two parts, spanning the Tonle Sap River and the Mekong.
