South Korean fire authorities report that the collapse of a bridge under construction on an expressway project has left four workers dead and injured six others.
The accident happened today (Tuesday) at 9:50am local time 70km south of Seoul, the Korean capital. The ten casualties were working on the deck atop 50m piers. Rescue work ended at 2:20pm.
Contractor Hyundai Engineering issued an apology for the injuries and loss of life and confirmed that it was cooperating with authorities.
