Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has named a construction manager for the project to replace a major Mississippi River road crossing.

Kiewit is TDOT’s chosen contractor for the replacement project, which will see the 75-year old I-55 bridge replaced with a larger structure to improve safety and resiliency. It will also meet modern seismic codes as the crossing is positioned on the New Madrid fault line.

Construction will start in fiscal year 2026.
