The Guinea-Massi Railway is the first east-west train line across Guinea. Last March, China Railway Fourth Engineering Bureau brought in four dual-purpose bridge-building machines and 28 beam transporters for the start of the project.
The Guinea-Massi Railway supports the Simandou iron ore mine in the south of the country by connecting it to the deep water port at Matakong on the Atlantic coast.
